AGENDA
1. Apologies for absence
Schedule 12 of the Local Government Act 1972 requires members who cannot attend a meeting to tender apologies to the Clerk.
2. Declarations of members’ interests in items on the agenda
To receive any pecuniary or non-pecuniary declarations of interest and confirmation of any relevant dispensations.
i) Under the Localism Act 2011 (sections 26-37 and Schedule 4) and in accordance with the Council’s Code of Conduct, Members are required to declare any interests which are not currently entered in the Member’s Register of Interests or if he/she has not notified the Monitoring Officer (Clerk) of it.
ii) Should any Member have a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest in an item on the agenda, the Member may not participate in consideration of that item unless a Dispensation has first been requested (in writing) and granted by the Council.

Committee Projects
4.1 Office Complex Refurbishment
Members are asked to RECEIVE a verbal update from Cllr Dodds at the meeting regarding the office refurbishment.
Members are asked to NOTE that the patio next to the warden’s house is in need of repair.
Members are asked to CONSIDER and, if so minded, APPROVE the drawing up of a specification and the obtaining of quotations for the repair work.

5.1 St Margaret’s Churchyard
Members are asked to NOTE that the works to repair the wall leading to the brick shed will be started week commencing 20 March, weather dependent.

War Memorials
6.1 Loudwater
Members are asked to NOTE that a yew hedge has been planted by the grounds team.
6.2 Flackwell Heath
Members are asked to CONSIDER and, if so minded, APPROVE the quotation below to install bell bollards to prevent motorists from parking on the grass. The quote includes preliminaries (safety and welfare), collection of bollards from depot, excavating pits and setting bollards in concrete, making good the soil and seeding. Members are asked to NOTE that this is a single tender action as there are no other satisfactory options from other suppliers.

Royal Mail bag drop boxes
Members are asked to NOTE that no further update has been received from RoyalMail.

FH Broxap bins
Members are asked to NOTE that a survey has been done of the green cast iron bins and the deputy clerk has written to Buckinghamshire Council. A reply has been received and we are waiting to hear whether the bins in Flackwell Heath will be included in the current project underway at Buckinghamshire Council to replace litter bins.

LED Footway Lighting
Members are asked to NOTE that the damaged lamp columns in The Orchard and Glenmore Close have been replaced at no cost to us.
Members are asked to NOTE that a survey of the lamp columns has taken place to check if any are obscured by trees. The grounds team will be cutting back those on the verges and the deputy clerk will be writing to the two residents who have trees in their gardens requiring attention.
AGENDA ITEM 10
Heath End Rd Green Path
Members are asked to NOTE that the deputy clerk has received replies to her letters to Berkeley Homes (developer of Abbey Barn South Development) and Highways. The developer is due to pay the Council £475,000 ‘towards a walking and cycling route between the Land and the village of Flackwell Heath’. The point that this payment is due to be made is linked to occupation levels, estimated to be late Summer 2024. As a result, the Parish Council will not be going ahead with formation of a new footpath and will monitor Buckinghamshire Council’s progress on the matter.

Heath End Common
Members are asked to NOTE that, following the meeting with the TfB LAT on site, reports have been received from 4 utility companies and 1 more is awaited.

Bus Shelters
Members are asked to NOTE that the bench seat in the bus shelter in Station Road (opposite Boundary Rd Recreation Ground) has been removed from its base plates at both ends. It has been brought back to the depot and we are awaiting a quote from the original supplier for its reinstallation.

A maximum of fifteen minutes will be given to members of the public, who may make representations, ask and answer questions and/or give evidence in respect of any item of business included in the agenda.
