Erection of detached dwelling house

CWPC objects to this proposal for the following reasons:

·         It is an overdevelopment of the site

·         The private amenity space of the proposed dwelling is inadequate

·         The negative impact on the environment

·         We are concerned that the new access road onto New Road is very narrow

·         It will have a negative impact on the privacy of 48a New Road

·         It will lead to additional parking on New Road

·         Construction traffic will negatively impact New Road

·         The plan does not appear to be in accordance with the currently proposed Bucks Local Plan, with regard to back-yard developments.

  1. Questions from members

Cllr Johncock highlighted the current petition on the Buckinghamshire Council website, initiated by a Penn resident, for public comments on planning proposals to be visible, as they have been historically.  As planning members had been of a similar mindset for some time, there was debate around whether CWPC should write to Buckinghamshire Council directly regarding this, without referencing the petition.  It was resolved that the matter should be an agenda item on the forthcoming council meeting for a decision on how CWPC should proceed.

The chairman thanked those present and closed the meeting at 12.25pm

Date & time of next meeting: Tuesday 23 June 2026 @ 12 noon, on Teams
